BRAMPTON - Concern is growing over a missing Malton student who left Lincoln Alexander Secondary School Tuesday (Nov. 3) after being counselled about her behavioural issues.
Shantal Samuel, who attends Alexander but lives in the Goreway Dr. and Castlemore Rd. area of Brampton, left the school at around 10 a.m. Tuesday following a discussion about her behaviour with her parents, school and police officials.
She has not been seen since that time and investigators and her family are becoming more and more concerned about her well-being.
Cst. Wayne Patterson said this morning that police have contacted her friends, other schools and other police forces to alert them to keep an eye out for Samuel.
She is described as black, five-foot-five, 180 pounds, with black hair that she likes to wear in a pony-tail.
When last seen, she was wearing a pink sweater, a brown corduroy skirt and a cream-coloured hooded nylon jacket with gold flowers and a zipper front. Samuel is developmentally delayed and operates at the capacity of an 11-year-old.
Anyone with information is asked to call police immediately at 905-453-3311.
