Lowe's of North Brampton will open its doors to the public at 7 a.m., followed by grand opening festivities at 1 p.m.
The mayor of Brampton and local dignitaries are slated to attend a "board cutting ceremony".
The home improvement store has 117,000-sq.-ft. of retail sales space and boasts more than 40,000 different items in stock "to help customers build, improve and beautify their homes."
It also features an adjacent garden centre.
This is the second Lowe's location to open in Brampton.
The first, located on Steeles Avenue, near Rutherford Road, began operations in early December.
Company officials say the stores represent an average investment in the community of approximately $18.97 million and create up to 175 new jobs.
With fiscal year 2006 sales of $46.9 billion, Lowe's Companies, Inc. is a FORTUNE 500 company that serves approximately 13 million customers a week at more than 1,500 home improvement stores in the United States and Canada.
Lowe's of North Brampton is located at 10111 Heart Lake Rd., west of Hwy. 410 on Bovaird Drive.
