Bylaw priority a mess

I am absolutely furious with the manner in which 'our' bylaw officers prioritize, now it's garage sale signs- why?
I understand the clutter these signs cause may be visual pollution, but to employ however many people to remove these signs on the morning of someone's sale is ludicrous.
It would make more sense and raise revenue by fining the people who still have them up on Monday morning, instead of wasting our tax dollars, paying overtime to be spoilsports. Make it a bylaw that all signs have a date and full address- that way the offenders can be fined.
A garage sale is in many ways a community function and in most cases is over by noon on Saturday. Where's the harm? I frequent garage sales and have never seen any violent skirmishes, mostly people out for a bargain and some friendly banter.
Not to mention all the stuff that would otherwise end up in landfill. There are so many other things overlooked, dead cars in driveways, cars parked on grass, noise violations that neither police or bylaws will respond to, weeds as high as an elephant's eye and of course the biggest blind eye are the multitude of illegal apartments, where property taxes don't even begin to cover our community costs.
Lastly who is responsible for the decisions made by these fools, I certainly wouldn't vote for anyone who thought any of this was in my best interest.
