Apple Day was great

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people of Brampton for their great support of Brampton’s Scouting 2008 Apple Day.

As many people noticed last weekend was our annual Apple Day campaign.

Apple Day, which started sometime in the 1930s, has come to provide an important means for Scouts Canada to say thanks to the community.

It also provides funds for the groups to make available many of our scouting programs.
This year Brampton Area Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers gave out approximately 7,000 pounds of apples.

I would also like to thank all the businesses that allowed the youth to stand in front of their stores to hand out the apples.

Again on behalf of Brampton Area I would like to say thanks to everyone.
