BRAMPTON - Families are needed to host three international students coming to Brampton next month to study and learn English through the AFS Interculture Canada program.
On August 22, seven students ranging in age from 15 to 18, from Spain, France, Thailand, Austria, Honduras, Hong Kong and Sweden will join the community.
"We have hosted students in Brampton for over a decade now," said Brampton volunteer chapter president Tyler Clark in a press release.
"Our students get to learn a lot, but they are also great teachers of their own home culture while they're here."
AFS Students are selected for their capacity of adaptation, good student record and eagerness to learn about culture and spend one year in Canada. According to AFS Canada, families usually host students for a period of 11 months.
Families interested in hosting should contact Lena Shaw at 905-793-7806 or Rolinda at 905-791-1138.
