Every year, tens of thousands of people across Canada put their hearts into making a difference to the lives of others by participating in the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s largest grassroots fundraising initiative— Heart Month. Some demonstrate their generosity of spirit by donating. Others enjoy volunteering their time to meet with friends and neighbours as they rally support through door-to-door fundraising. The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) Peel/Halton will be hosting their 3rd annual Chocolate Lovers Brunch on Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Waterside Inn Ballroom, 15 Stavebank Rd. S. in Mississauga. Tickets cost $65 per person, $625 for a table of 10 and $1,500 for a corporate table to 10. VON’s vision is to be Canada’s leading charitable organization addressing community health and social needs. All proceeds from this event stay in Peel/Halton and go towards improving its Community Support Services programs for seniors.
