BRAMPTON - A man working at a Brampton driver testing centre has been accused of helping issue legitimate driver’s licences based on forged documents. The OPP Auto Theft Team charged Riyaz Jaffer, 52, of Toronto with breach of trust this week. Investigators say a variety of forged documents, including British passports, driver’s licences, Canadian Citizenship Cards and Ontario birth certificates were used to issue legitimate Ontario driver’s licences with fictitious names. Police have accused Jaffer of helping others in the fraud. The investigation is continuing. The Identity Crime and Forgery Investigative Unit, the Ministry of Transportation and the Montreal Urban Community Police all assisted with the investigation.
