BRAMPTON - Catholic Family Services Peel Dufferin (CFSPD) will be receiving a $1 million grant from the Ministry of Community and Social Services. CFSPD created a Capital Campaign Committee earlier this year with the objective of raising $4 million dollars to build a facility. This new home will allow them to bring together many different agencies and services to provide for the needs of the growing community. “If Catholic Family Services Peel Dufferin can own its own building, we can use our own financial resources more effectively and efficiently. We will also be better able to form partnerships with other agencies to provide a wider array of services. Thus we will be better able to serve the needs of the community,” said Mark Creedon, executive director, Catholic Family Services of Peel Dufferin. Catholic Family Services Peel-Dufferin is a multi-service counselling agency that has been providing services in the Region of Peel since 1981. Their mandate is to strengthen families and help stop family violence. They are an accredited organization with Family Services Ontario and a member agency of Catholic Charities.
