Brampton residents are advised that yard waste collection services end the week of Nov. 24.
During this final week, yard waste will be picked up on regular collection days.
Residents are advised to follow a few tips when putting yard waste at the curb for collection, including placing yard waste in labelled, open, rigid and reusable containers, bushel baskets, or paper yard waste bags; setting out yard waste and recyclable material on the opposite side of the driveway from garbage, if possible, and making sure yard waste containers and bundles do not exceed 20 kg (44 lbs).
Also, do not use plastic bags, cardboard boxes or recycling boxes for yard waste, and do not include sod, soil, stumps or stones with yard waste.
Stumps, soil, sod and excess yard waste can be taken to any of Peel's Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) for disposal - drop-off fees apply.
For more information on these programs call Peel Region at 905-791-9499 or visit
