The hearing was scheduled to be held in Toronto, but the Citizens for Managed Development at Loafer's Lake filed a written request to have it moved to Brampton. The city made a similar request.

This week, as the final pre-hearing meeting was held, it was announced the Jan. 12 hearing will be at the Peel Heritage Complex. Six weeks have been set aside.

Royalcliff Developments Inc. and Lake Path Holdings Inc. want to build a 1,443 residential units at the corner of Sandalwood Parkway and Conestoga Drive. The majority would be in six highrise towers between 18 and 32 storeys in height.
