Peel Police - Retail Business Holidays Act Closing Requirements Reminder

BRAMPTON - Peel – Peel Regional Police would like to remind retailers this Easter weekend that the Retail Business Holidays Act (R.B.H.A) requires local businesses to close on both Friday, March 21, 2008 and Monday, March 24, 2008.

 

Peel Regional Police officers will monitor retailers that are open on either of these dates to ensure compliance with the legislation. The R.B.H.A. provides for minimum fines for persons and businesses that are found to be in contravention.

 

To date, the vast majority of Peel retailers have shown compliance with this legislation and Peel Police would like to thank everyone involved for their continued support.
