Brampton – The Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau is investigating a double homicide that occurred on April 30, 2008 at a strip mall located at 20 Red Maple Drive.

 

At approximately 12:35 p.m., police responded to a call for service at the strip mall. Upon arrival, both victims were located suffering from fatal wounds. Investigation has revealed that the victims were not known to the suspect. Police became involved with the suspect and as a result of the interaction the Special Investigations Unit has been called in.  

 

Nazifa SHAHGHASY, a 52 year old woman from Brampton, and Rahimullah SHAHGHASY, her 53 year old husband, were pronounced deceased at the scene. A post mortem will be conducted on Friday, May 2, 2008.

These are the Region’s 10th, and 11th murders of 2008.
