Peel Police - Police Donate Blood in "Sirens for Life" Campaign
The Brampton Guardian

BRAMPTON -

Peel – On Monday, June 23, 2008 members of the Peel Regional Police participated in the quarterly “Sirens for Life” campaign. Officers and civilian support staff are encouraged to donate units of blood to assist Canadian Blood Services in their continued efforts to increase blood collection through the summer months.

Sixty two members of our organization donated upwards to 57 units of blood – enough blood to save over 150 people’s lives.

A picture of participating members can be viewed by clicking on the following link [Sirens4Life ].

Canadian Blood Services is a national not-for-profit charitable organization that manages the blood supply in all Canadian provinces and territories (except Quebec).

This summer, call 1-888-2DONATE (1-888-236-6283) or visit www.blood.ca   to make an appointment or for eligibility information and clinic locations.

For further information, please contact Sandra Fonseca, Events Coordinator, Peel Regional Police at 905-453-2121 extension 4026.
