Mississauga – Peel Regional Police would like to remind everyone that, when outdoors, it is always a good practice to keep a close watch over children and family pets so as to ensure that they do not come into contact with any harmful objects or foods.
On Thursday, July 17, 2008, Mississauga Animal Services were advised by a citizen that some suspicious meat had been found at the Erin Woods Park. The park is located in the northeast corner of Erin Mills Parkway and Erin Centre Blvd., in Mississauga. Upon attending the park, Mississauga Animal Services found a quantity of meat and reported the matter to Peel Regional Police. The meat has been seized by police and is to be examined. It has yet to be determined if the meat has been tampered with.
Investigators from 11 Division’s Criminal Investigation Bureau would ask that any witnesses to the incident, or anyone with information on this matter, please contact officers at (905) 453-2121, ext. 1133.
