BRAMPTON - Brampton – Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in a violent robbery.
On Sunday, August 10, 2008, at about 8:40 p.m., four masked suspects entered the 7 Star Convenience Store located at 22 Conservation Drive in Brampton. One suspect was in possession of a handgun. The suspects ordered the victim to stand still as they emptied the cash register and removed a quantity of cigarettes.
The suspects then fled the store and entered two vehicles which have been identified as a two-door silver Volkswagen, and four-door black Honda Civic. The suspect vehicles were last seen fleeing southbound on Highway 410.
Investigators have identified one of the four suspects as Ryan RANKINE, 18 years of age, from Toronto. A warrant has been issued for his arrest for the offences of Robbery, Imitation Firearm – Use While Committing Offence, Disguise with Intent, Flight from Police Officer, Fail to Remain at Scene of Accident, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The other three suspects are described as male, black, in their early 20’s, and wearing black clothes.
