BRAMPTON - BRAMPTON, ON. (Sept. 17, 2008) – The Peel Heritage Complex (PHC) is excited to celebrate its one-year partnership with the The Actor’s Studio (TAS). A new season of programming kicks off on Sept. 22.
The new season will showcase classes from acting and film to dance and rock star vocal training. TAS instructors are current professional actors and producers and provide their students with the best training possible. All classes run for 10 weeks and sessions cost will range from $135 to $165. Just want to take a few lessons? No problem. The TAS lets you customize your schedule by offering single voice, acting and dance lessons. Cost of each lesson will vary.
FEATURED FALL CLASSES:
The Comedy Hour
Students tackle everything from Lucille Ball to Seinfeld in this class of overachieving comedians.
Improv For Kids
This class focuses on teaching students the rules and guidelines of improvisation, as well as encouraging students to express their opinions and thoughts confidently and without judgment.
Improv For Adults
The adult improvisation classes are of the highest standard; helping adults learn how to break out of their shell.
Dance Troupes
Whether you have been dancing for years or are a beginner, this class creates solid dance pieces that stand alone as high quality productions. Join us, and get your groove on.
Acting Troupes
Students participating in our on-stage acting classes leave with a tremendous amount of performance knowledge, a diverse understanding of theatrical styles, and they even dabble in a little Shakespeare.
If you or your little one is looking to get on stage or film to sing, dance and act, then this is the place for you!
The Peel Heritage Complex is operated by the Region of Peel and is located at 9 Wellington St. E. in Brampton. The Complex is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to
4:30 p.m.; weekends from noon to 4:30 p.m.
The Peel Heritage Complex is made up of the Region of Peel Museum, the Art Gallery of Peel and the Region of Peel Archives. Together they collect, preserve and display a variety of materials related to Peel’s heritage.
