BRAMPTON - Mississauga - Members of the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Troxler moisture density gauge that was stolen from a Mississauga construction site.
On Thursday, October 9, 2008, at approximately 10:00 a.m., an unknown suspect attended a construction site off Scollard Court, in the Eglinton Avenue and Mavis Road area of Mississauga. The unknown suspect removed the moisture density gauge from this location.
The gauge contains a small amount of radioactive material. The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has determined the unit to be safe, providing the gauge is intact. It poses no immediate danger to anyone handling it.

Investigators are advising any member of the public who comes across a Troxler moisture density gauge, not to tamper with it and to call your local police service.
