Police Peel - Suspect Responsible for Two Bank Robberies

BRAMPTON -

Brampton – Investigators from Peel Regional Police’s Central Robbery Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for two separate bank robberies.

 

The first robbery occurred on Friday, September 5, 2008. The suspect entered the C.I.B.C. branch located at 380 Bovaird Drive East, in Brampton, and made a demand for money. The victim teller complied and the suspect fled with a quantity of money.

 

The second robbery occurred on Thursday, September 27, 2008. The same suspect made a similar demand at the Bank of Montreal branch located at 180 Sandlewood Parkway, Brampton. In this robbery the suspect indicated that he had a weapon, although none was seen. He fled this bank with a quantity of Canadian and American money.

 

There were no injuries during either of these robberies.

 

The suspect is described as a South Asian male, 5’5” to 5’7” tall, with a thin build and black hair, balding on top. The suspect spoke with a slight accent.
