Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and CUPE 1483 reach tentative agreement

BRAMPTON -

MISSISSAUGA – The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and CUPE Local 1483 have reached a tentative collective agreement pending ratification.

The agreement is for a four-year contract in accordance with the Provincial Discussion Table framework as agreed to by the Ministry of Education and Catholic school boards across the province. CUPE 1483 represents 700 custodial and maintenance workers and audio visual technicians at Dufferin-Peel.

The board continues to negotiate with its other employee groups.

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of the largest school boards in Ontario, with approximately 87,000 students in 145 schools located throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Orangeville. With approximately 10,000 employees, the board is also one of the largest employers in the region.
