BRAMPTON - BRAMPTON, ON. (Jan. 5, 2009) The Art Gallery of Peel is proud to continue its longstanding commitment to showcasing the work of Canadian modernist painters with its upcoming exhibition Jordan Broadworth: Paintings from Jan. 11 to Feb. 15, 2009.
In his exhibition, Broadworth uses a variety of painting methods as part of the New Abstraction movement in Canada while challenging the meaning of identity in an increasingly technological world.
“With his use of drips, swirls and loops, Broadworth has created a unique body of works,” says Judy Daley, Assistant Curator, Art Gallery of Peel.
Dedicated to preserving and promoting the Region's artistic heritage, the Art Gallery of Peel's exhibitions and permanent collection bring an impressive range of regional, provincial, national and international art making practices to the Peel community.
